Why I love FaceBook:
No apologies for being yet another blog to post about the phenomenal rise of FaceBook.
But you've got to love a web 2.0 property that has 28,000 members in a group called: 'If it's not from Yorkshire, it's shite.'
On discovering this group, I of course, signed up to it immediately.
FaceBook, and Jaiku are also partly responsible for fewer posts on my blog of late.
Sites that aggregate lots of Web 2.0 content in one place are becoming a kind of one-stop-shop for web users.
Consequently, some, (not all by any means though) bloggers are looking to social network sites to engage.
And consequently are spending less time tending their blogs.
Methinks an interesting shake-out is going on.
Me also thinks FaceBook is going to win big.

ComScore would seem to concur with your rather bold statement at the beginning of your post:
http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/technology/archives/2007/07/06/facebook_sees_flood_of_traffic_says_comscore.html
As a result, the average user spends 186 minutes per month compared to the peak in February at 200 minutes.

Thanks Ben, good tip.
I did actually try this but FaceBook has been getting a bit uppitty of late.
I put in the url/rss feed of my blog and FB spat back an error message "Couldn't find feed with url you provided'. Will keep trying.

hi mike -
have you set up your blog rss feed to land in facebook yet?
it scans for blog updates ever couple of hours, and imports each entry as a 'note', which is displayed in your mini feed.
To set it up, go to your 'notes' on FB, and look down the right hand panel for 'import from a blog'.
You don't have to enter the exact feed, just the blog address, and it will pick up the feed itself.
It has its disadvantages though - you tend to end up with two sets of comments, one on the blog and one on FB - but the more exposure the better, I'd say.
