Well, that's the first Edinburgh Coffee Morn done, dusted and digested.
I really enjoyed it. Everyone got on really well. Centotre rocks.
I think everyone is name-checked here, and I got pictures of most of the coffee morners.
Unfortunately, I forgot to get shots of Pete and Ewan, but will put that right next week chaps. Sorry.
Particularly as you were both looking stunningly gorgeous this morning, and took the trouble to wear full Highland dress for the occasion. With matching spats and Bonnets. Such a pity I didn't get the shot.
With about 20 turners-up, I didn't actually get chance to chat for as long as I would have liked to everyone, but those I did manage to get closer enough to splatter bacon roll over gave excellent value.
Amongst the avenues Ewan and I traversed, BarCamp Scotland sounds like a belter of an idea.
James.
And James L, who came all the way from Silicon Valley, introduced me to Attention Recorder, upcoming.org and a bit more about location based marketing. He also told me about his Valley start up, and from what I heard, (and to be honest, the bits that I fully understood), he's got a rocking idea.
Unfortunately, it's not for me to say any more about his thing just right now. But will when I can.
We spent so much time peppering each other with bacon roll that I couldn't talk as much as I would have liked to Juliet, Marie and Ed. Something I will fully rectify next week.
Juliet.
Marie & Ed.
Pete, did the gentlemanly thing and paid for Alan and Mike L's coffee's when they did a runner, as the waitress was otherwise engaged.
Alan, Charlie, Iain, Lizzie, James M, and Mike L.
And of course I was pleased to see the Whitespacer's in numbers, not least because James brought my temperamental laptop back to life.
Gordon, Tim, Marie & Ed.
Last but not least, thanks to Tim and Johnnie for coming along and making the whole thing such a rewarding start to the day.
Johnnie, Fraser, & Gordon. (Weren't they a 60's Folk group?)
Don and Alan. (On hearing they've just landed the lead roles in the stage version of Brokeback Mountain.)
Mark, Just turn up at Centotre.
You'd be most welcome, not least as a blogger, but also of course, because of your advertising, management and marketing background. I think you could bring some really good insights and make a great contribution, bringing a new perspective to the group. If I may, I'll put you on the round robin mailing list which goes out a day or two before each Friday's meet up.

That Don and Alan Brokeback mountain line is a killer. How do you get an invite to these lovely coffee mornings by the way?

Great to get words and pictures as fresh as this morning's catch! I´m starting to find out: posts that sit around too long become unappetizing!
Many happy returns,
Arpi
