Cards on the Table:

A while back I noticed that some people where kind enough to go on Twitter, to tweet nice things about me, after I gave social business workshops within companies, and one-on-one social media mentoring sessions to senior executives.

So.

1. I did screen grabs of my favourite Tweets from those people bigging me up on Twitter.
2. I imported them to Flickr.
3. I pointed Moo.com the online business card service, that prints different images on the back of individual business cards, at my Flickr set. 
4. I got a great set of 50 business cards back in 4 days, all with different recommendations from clients on them, all for under a tenner.

You know how we used to be able to pan around QTVR stills, well this is way cooler.

Explaining Twitter to the Teasmaid generation:

                                       

This clip, from the 2004 movie 'Downfall' starring Bruno Ganz, has been mashed up online in a million different ways, by a gazillion different people, over the last few months.

Above, is my version based on the disagreement, run-in, recent interchanges , pro and con Twitter, that I had of late with Channel4's Head of Programmes (Nations and Regions), Stuart Cosgrove.

No fan of Twitter, he'd described it wittily, but in my view inaccurately, as the 'Teasmaid of Technology'.

I came across a quite innocuous tweet yesterday, and followed the link:

On reading the comments about the post, I saw everything that is good (and also sorry to report somewhat bad) about the internets and social interaction. Good points, bad points, piss-takes, free-advice, pedantry, rebuttal, retribution, the works.

Looking around I found this video, sorry if the chronological sequence isn't too tight, but I think you'll follow the thread/thinking.

I thought this morning was going to be whatever the year before the first anniversary of nobody at all turning up is called.
